Hello there! The second part of the origin myths about the zodiac constellations is finally here ★ These myths are taken from the De astronomia, a text by Hyginus from the 1st century. Let's find them out: -  ♎︎ Libra and  ♏︎ Scorpio: Orion  At that time the two constellations were considered to be one, called Scorpio (ancient greek astrologers considered the claws of the scorpion the constellation that we now call "Libra"). Later, due to its huge size, it was divided in two and the image of one of them was called Libra. The sign as a whole was formed for this cause: one day Orion was hunting, and he boasted that he knew how to kill any creature created by Earth. So the Earth threw a scorpion at him, which killed him. Jupiter placed his image in the sky to warn men not to have too much confidence in themselves. She hatched a plot to get rid of the twins, roasting all of  Boeotia 's crop seeds so they would not grow. The local farmers, frightened of famine, asked a nearby  oracle  for assistance. Ino bribed the men sent to the oracle to lie and tell the others that the oracle required the sacrifice of Phrixus and Helle. Before they were killed, though, Phrixus and Helle were rescued by a flying, or swimming,   ram with golden wool sent by  Nephele , their natural mother .
